Tried and tested!
I got my hands on the Kiss acrylic nude french nails and I was super excited to test them out because I’d heard wonderful things about them.
According to the Kiss website, these nails are:
Acrylic-infused with reverse Dual-Injection technology delivers durable strength with a natural look. The easy-to-apply nails go on with a seamless cuticle line so they truly look natural, plus the subtle smile line translates to a perfect nude manicure for a modern take on the French.
• 28 Nails in 14 sizes
• Short length, thin smile line
• 2 g glue, mini file, manicure stick included
• FlexiFit technology for ultra comfort
• Up to 7-day wear
Fit: The nails come in various sizes so there is a pretty good chance that you will find suitable match for each nail. However I found that for certain fingers, my thumbs and pinkies, there were no correct nail sizes. They were either too big or too small. So I had to file a few nails down to fit those finger nails.
Application: Once you have determined the correct nail fit for your fingers, the nails are very quick, easy and hassle free to apply. You simple apply the glue to the back of the acrylic nail as well as the top of your natural nail before pressing the bottom of the acrylic nail onto your own.
Look: If you can find the correct fit for each nail, they look excellent. If not, you will be able to see your natural nail peeking through the sides..Which is not a good look for anyone who strives for neat, polished finger nails.
Longevity: These acrylic nails stayed on my nails for 6 days. On the 6th day, my thumb nail came off while I was peeling an orange hahaha. On day 7, two more nails popped off in the shower so I just removed them all after a week.
✮ Use enough glue. I didn’t apply as much glue as the instructions stated. I’m certain that if I had used more glue the nails would have lasted more than 6 days..But to be honest it was my first time using a press on nail and I was terrified that I’d never be able to get them off because the glue was so strong haha.
✮ While you are gluing the nails together, press down hard and don’t move the finger you are using the press the nails together until 15 seconds are up. Lifting and pressing or not enough pressure will allow air bubbles to form between the nails and they are very visible.
I enjoyed this nail kit because it saved me from having to worry about the state of my nails for a week. As I mentioned above, I did have a bit of trouble finding a good fit for my thumbs and pinkies so I had to file down a few of the nails. Not a deal breaker for me, but it was a bit disappointing and it creates an additional step so keep that in mind if you are interested in trying these out. I would recommend this for anyone who likes to try out new nail products, anyone who wants clean and polished nails but only has time to do their nails once a week or anyone who has an event coming up and doesn’t want to worry about nail polish chippage haha
★★★½ I would buy them again but the nail fits need to be improved.
Thanks for dropping by 🙂
