How to Dye Hair a Rose Gold Balayage

What better way to celebrate the approach of spring than to..Dye your hair pink!?
Yes, pink!
My sisters and I love to dye our hair, and recently my youngest sister asked me if I could dye her hair a rose gold balayage. In the past I had experimented with dying our hair red, brown and blonde so I figured this would be a similar process. Turns out I was right, and after some (extensive) research I was ready to begin! It was pretty easy to do, but I wouldn’t recommend doing it on yourself if it’s your first time since each step needs to be done quickly and it’s difficult to see and reach the back of your head. Also, while my sisters hair has been previously dyed a light brown/dark blonde balayage, I still had to bleach her hair to get it light enough to accept the pink dye. I know that a lot of people don’t want to use bleach because it is extremely damaging but if you have dark hair then unfortunately there’s no any way around it *sighs.*

Anyway, enjoy the video!

Just in case you missed it, these are the products I used:

Part 1: Bleaching hair

Salon Care 30 Volume Creme Developer
L’oreal Quick Blue Bleach Powder

Part 2: Toning the hair

Salon Care 20 Volume Developer
Wella Color Charm #T18 Lightest Ash Blonde

Part 3: Dyeing hair pink

Arctic Fox Virgin Pink Dye
Aussie Conditioner

As I said above it was a pretty easy process but its definitely time consuming. The whole process took about 4.5 hours so if you are planning to try this then I’d definitely recommend saving it for the weekend. Also, before you begin, be sure to have everything you need laid out neatly on a table or counter near you so you aren’t fumbling around trying to find things mid-dye haha

Have a great day!
