How to Bake Your Face
Smooth, poreless, line-less, baby-looking skin, here I come!
The makeup technique called ‘baking’ has been around for a long time, but recently it’s been gaining a lot of popularity and many people want to try the technique for themselves. Baking involves applying a layer of concealer under your eyes, chin, nose and forehead before patting a generous amount of face powder on to the same areas. The heat of your skin will melt the two products together, hence the term ‘baking.’ This technique makes your skin look matte, pore-less, and basically flawless.
1. Apply concealer under the eyes, bridge of nose, chin and forehead
3. Apple a generous amount of face powder on to the same areas and DO NOT brush off
4. Let the two products sit on your skin and ‘bake’ for 5-10 minutes
5. Use a fluffly brush to brush away the excess powder
After that you are done and you can carry on with the rest of your makeup!
❤ Baking can make your face appear a bit flat so remember to use blush, bronzer, highlighter or all of them, to add dimension to your face.
❤ If your skin is really dry this technique will make your skin look flakey so remember to moisturize well first.
❤ If you have a lot of fine lines don’t use too much concealer & powder because it may end up looking cakey.
❤ If you have oily skin use a mattifying powder.
